Image Copyright & Diligent Search

Few images of Rose Island survive, and those that do appear widely across multiple websites and archives. The images used on this website are presented for historical and educational purposes to document the history of Rose Island from 1923 to 1937. Many of the images are believed to be in the public domain. Others qualify as orphan works, where the original photographer or rights holder could not be identified after a diligent search. In some cases, images have been reconstructed from historical descriptions or enhanced using AI tools to provide an accurate visual representation of people, places, or objects where no original photograph is known to exist.

The author has made every effort to trace copyright holders and obtain permission for all images. If you believe you hold the rights to any image on this site, please contact me at [email protected]. I will broadly attribute the work to you or, if requested, remove the image immediately.

A Note on Historical Preservation

This project aims to reconstruct the lost history of Rose Island for future generations. Your cooperation in helping us correctly attribute these historical artifacts is greatly appreciated.

Note: These reconstructions are intended to help readers visualize the world of Rose Island, not to replace the historical record.
